Little Bay is a small (approximately 350-acre), semi-enclosed sub-bay within the larger Aransas Bay estuary system on the Texas Gulf Coast. As an estuarine environment, its salinity (measured in parts per thousand, or ppt) fluctuates due to tidal exchange with Aransas Bay, freshwater inflows from local runoff (e.g., Tule Creek and stormwater drains), evaporation, and seasonal weather patterns.
